There were no care instructions included for that precious mass of soft pink nervous tissue called the brain when we first arrived on planet earth. And even as we baby boomers move towards the retirement years, we still don’t readily think of the importance of brain health. We are only now beginning to realize how critical it is to care for our brains, especially with the increasing incidence of brain diseases like dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Enter Siddhi, an experienced transformational teacher and healer, yogi, and founder of the recently launched movement, The Brain Cleanse, to the rescue. The Brain Cleanse is comprised of various modalities of movement, exercise, mantra, mudra, yoga, journaling, and the use of turmeric, all designed to nourish and awaken the power of the brain for optimal health and longevity.

With over three decades as a practicing yogi and teacher trainer of yoga with hundreds of dedicated followers, Siddhi and her husband, Stefan Hermann, enrolled EDG to brand this new startup company. The Brain Cleanse will eventually become a worldwide phenomenon as the word spreads about the importance of sustaining one’s brain health by offering a variety of locations and facilitators with certifications and supplements at spas, hotels, assisted living facilities, luxury residential settings and yoga studios.

Spellbound for positive change.

HypnoMovement is more than putting someone under a spell, rather, synchronizing one’s mind with their body for positive changes and results.

Physical therapy practitioner, movement educator, and hypnotherapist, Eva Nemeth, doesn’t let the grass grow under her feet for very long. She is always on the move adding skills and modalities to her practice, continually providing transformative services to her loyal clientele.

Eva began her professional career as a gymnast and later taught modern dance and rhythmic gymnastics. Gymnastics and dance taught her how to move her body, and her rigorous education in physiotherapy allowed her to ultimately become an intuitive practitioner of the human body. Together this combination enabled Eva to be in high demand as a physical therapist and movement educator for more than 30 years.

EDG was hired to design a distinctive brand identity and direct mail campaign for her original business; Marina Physical Therapy.

And just a few years later we assisted her by developing a brand new identity and website for her holistic body awareness program called the EVA Movement (Energy, Vision, and Action).

More recently, Eva added to her menu of capabilities, HypnoMovement, where she poses the question, “The mind and body are speaking…are you listening?”…and once again, EDG was there to give her new endeavor a bold look that synergistically works alongside the EVA Movement brand.

So no matter if you’re an avid yogi, a weekend warrior, a couch potato, have serious health issues or need a strong dose of behavior modification or stress reduction, Eva custom designs a program for each individual that promotes healthful new behaviors and a vital and enriched connection to the body. Clients naturally look and feel better working with EVA and as a result, have newfound energy and confidence.

GooRoo-U. Who, Who Knew?

What do you do if you’ve got a really BIG idea that could help the world be a better place to live—a new service that will have people waking up each day excited about the work they do, employers hiring the most effective workforce imaginable, students heading down the right career path, and educating those “undecided” about their possible futures? That’s where Evenson Design Group stepped in to assist our client, GooRoo-U with developing a fast paced, highly entertaining, 2 ½ minute animated video that attracts and excites potential investors to get on board with GooRoo-U—the revolutionary career-exploration web resource that will help change lives and help turn dreams into reality.

Based on the client’s goals and their business plan, EDG created the creative brief, scripted the narrative, developed storyboards, color palettes and a stylized look and feel, hired voice over talent, and animated a vivid and informative piece designed to open the hearts and pocket books of potential investors. Gitanjali made beautiful

Something terrific has come.

Our dear friend, and successful Acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Barbara, Mark Jeffrey Ruskin, opened a new door for himself recently. He became a first time author with his new book, Gitanjali (Song Offerings) a New English Version. We were honored to have designed this collection of elegant verse for Mark’s beautiful adaptation of the acclaimed poet’s writings.

100 years this November, Rabindranath Tagore won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913 with his sensitive and intimate masterpiece, Gitanjali. In this New English version, Mark offers the 21^st Century reader access to the exquisite beauty of Tagore’s timeless classic with contemporary language that will continue to move and inspire generations to come.

Tagore was a Bengali poet, short-story writer, song composer, novelist, playwright, essayist, and painter. We truly believe if Tagore was alive today, he would be so proud of Mark for making his lyrical poems open more hearts and doors for those that desire a richer experience in life. Fox Sports 1 Makes History

Set to debut in August 2013, Fox Sports 1 is the biggest sports cable network launch in history and EDG was a creative and integral part of this major pitch. Fox Sports Media Group (FSMG) selected EDG to produce an edgy animated Keynote presentation with two heart stopping videos to enroll executives from NASCAR to join forces with Fox. It worked, because on 8/17/2013, FS1 will be available in over 90 million homes, making this the largest sports cable network launch in history.

Stan, Meet Ted

On February 23, Founder, CEO and Creative Director of EDG, Stan Evenson, was invited to give a TEDx Talk, with the over arching theme, “Creating Possible Worlds”. Hosted by TEDxMiracle Mile at the Electric Lodge in Venice California, Stan gave his inspiring talk on “The 3Ls; Listen, Love, and Laugh: My design recipe for surviving the human race and traffic on the 405.” To assist Stan in delivering a kick-ass speech, EDG prepared 76 animated Keynote slides to accompany him.

Epic 62…Just Chillin’

EDG designers created a hot new brand ID for a men’s surf apparel company, EPIC 62, founded by Visionary and Yogi, Maurice Kaehler. Focused on comfort, ease, and style, men no longer have to leave the beach after a long day of carving and amped up aerials with a pair of wet boardies or sand filed neoprene when they can slip into ultra comfy, après surf, wrap-around pants by EPIC 62. This radical new men’s surf line will hit the beaches late in the summer of 2013. “All of our pants are made with love and care in Los Angeles with the finest quality fabric”, states Maurice, “and a percentage of EPIC’s profits will go to the Epic 62/Renee Wilson Fund for Merkel Cell Carcinoma Research.”

Epic 62 will initially launch in Southern California then branch out to like-minded communities across the US through strategic collaborations, private events, and trunk shows. AKAW!…EPIC 62 is a happening thing.
